Unit has front-mounted "Pre" and "Post" Gain controls for fine-tuning the Input and Output sections. Uses metal-oxide resistors, and mylar caps in the signal path. There are no IC chips, or circuit board- this is a purely analogue design. Each unit is completely hand-made and point-to-point wired by myself. An Aluminum chassis is used to minimize vibrations, and add excellent shielding to the unit. 100kohm input impedance, 10 kohm output. Outboard 20 v.d.c. regulated power supply. Low-noise, High-quality design. 5 db of gain. This unit does not add a ton of extra gain, but is more of a "Buffer" to warm up your guitar, bass, keyboard, or microphone (phantom power must be supplied externally). It can add some tube breakup when the input is cranked though. For modifications you want made, color, different jacks, different chassis etc please contact us before making payment.

This preamp is great for acoustic guitar piezo pickups. It removes the cold harsh brittle sound common to most of these pickups and solves the impedance problem connecting to outboard gear. I use this with my acoustic for both live and recording to my Digital Audio Workstation.

Shipping for ALL units except the 2U rack mount version 4.0, is $15 for Priority Mail in a Flat Rate box for lower 48 states.

For the 4.0 rack mount unit, shipping is $35 anywhere in the lower 48 states, $65 To Canada, and $90 International for Priority Mail. Insurance is $5 extra.
